The Percentage Calculator is a free, browser-based tool that solves everyday percentage questions such as sale prices, shares of a total, change rates, and finding the original value. Everything runs entirely in your browser, so the numbers you enter never leave your device.
It groups six common calculations on one screen so you choose the question instead of the formula: apply a discount or increase to a base amount, find X% of a total, work out what share one part is of a total, measure the percentage change between two values, recover the original total from a known part and its percentage, and compare two percentages by percentage points or symmetric percent difference.

- What is the difference between a percentage point and a percent change?
- A percentage-point difference is the plain subtraction of two rates (4% to 5% is +1 percentage point), while a percent change measures the relative growth between them (4% to 5% is a +25% change). The advanced mode shows both.
